I found this a long while ago and it took ages to find the details again for this lovely looking farm/ pony riding place called Ponies et Cie in Milhaguet. Contact "Poneys et Cie" La Violette - Milhaguet 87440 Marval Tél/Fax: 05 55 78 10 47
Though all the little villages have a couple of stands selling local products every week, the best market by far can be found in Piegut every Wednesday morning. I recommend going early as it gets jam packed...
The lac de St Estephe close to Piegut has been majorly renovated. What that exactly means I have no idea but I reckon it will be worth checking out! Apparently they loan out free kajaks...
Let's not forget the the Repetto factory is about one hours drive away.... don't take any small children as the roads are windy and accidents have occured!
The website is down at the moment but La Maison de la Porcelaine in Aixe sur Vienne is unavoidable for anyone visiting. Three huge basements filled with plain white porcelain in all shapes and sizes. What is the point of coming to Limoges if you don't leave with a bit of porcelain??
Adventure Parc at Massignac I reckon it is worth trying this place out as it has a fun area for kids from 3 years onwards. Looks like fun for grown ups too....
I love going to St Mathieu, I have grown up there and spend so much time as a child, a teenager and an adult there that I really want my family and friends to love it as much as I do. I have started this blog as a way to letting everyone know what is going on in the region. Our trips to St Mathieu have changed with time. Now they are full of fun filled moments primarily keeping the children entertained. I want to keep a log of places to go and hopefully also update this blog with the snapshots of our adventures in this lovely little village....
We are a little French-Irish-Kiwi family who have landed in Paris and are getting settled. I have decided that I want to keep a log of the different things happening within the family and out primarily because it is so easy to forget.
